Great Location: The hotel was perfectly situated near all the major attractions of Istanbul. It felt like being in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw away from the Topkapi Palace, Aya Sofia, and the Sultan Ahmet Camii.
Slight Distance from Tram: Although the hotel was a little far from the tram, the walk to the station was just a minor inconvenience. The rough and stony roads made it slightly challenging with luggage, but it was manageable.

Everything! The management was absolutely amazing. Ismail and Tulay Caliskan are the friendliest most helpful hosts you'll ever find anywhere. They took care of everything, including our daily itineraries of our six day trip where they organised our transport, tours, etc. They are the reason our holiday went so smoothly and was such a success. The rooms were very clean and cosy. The neighbourhood its in is very charming, and its located next to everything worth seeing in the city.

Oba Hotel is a cosy little place right around the corner from Sultanahmet. The staff is friendly and helpful. An excellent choice for the budget conscious traveller who wants to be in the heart of the city but does not care about fancy amenities.

The room was like a cozy cabin in the woods, with wooden furniture and a rustic charm. It made me feel connected to nature, which is exactly what I wanted as a nature lover.
That there was no balcony or outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Still, some people might not mind this and enjoy the indoor experience.

Charming hotel in an old wood house painted in flashy green. Breakfast is good, our room was clean and well equipped according international standard. this is definively a good place to stay.
in case of noisy neighbors, the walls or roofs between rooms appear to be too thin.

The hotel has all of the attributes of a modern facility tucked in the less tourist more real , old city, section of the city. The area was safe to walk in yet, not overwhelmed with traffic. Restaurants were nearby as was the major city areas and access to the Metro. The staff was very willing and able to help you during your stay. The breakfast was delightful and filling.

I absolutely loved the elegant and charming decor of the hotel. The classic furniture, beautiful artwork, and cozy sitting areas created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The general areas were well-maintained and immaculately clean, making it a pleasure to spend time there. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel. There were no steep slopes or difficult stairs to navigate, which made getting around much easier for us.
If I had to ask for one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be to have more assistance from the staff. While the children working there were friendly, I would have appreciated some extra help with carrying luggage or guiding us to nearby attractions.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and had a great visit. We would go back again and again. The owners of the hotel are genuine and go out of their way on covering each detail and making you feel like family.

Located in a charming neighborhood close to the main tourist sites, this hotel provides a great base for discovering the city. the room is comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, and the bathroom is sparkling clean. the friendly staff is always available to help and offer tips on local attractions. the breakfast is adequate with a variety of options. the hotel is not soundproof, which may cause disturbances for light sleepers. this is a great hidden gem close to key attractions.

no terrace or outside, noisy rooms eg, it is an old house with wooden floors, so you can hear the room above..
